Guide for Authors

Online Submission
The Razavi Heritage journal uses an online submission system. Authors should submit their manuscripts exclusively through the journal’s portal: https://rh.razavi.ac.ir

First-Time Users
If you are a first-time user, you will need to register on the journal’s portal. Click on the "Register" link in the top right corner of the website and provide the required information. During registration, you will create a username and password. If you forget your login credentials, click on the "Forgot Password" link in the login section and enter the email address you used during registration. Your access details will be emailed to you.

Submission Process
When submitting your manuscript, you will be guided step-by-step through the creation and uploading of the necessary files. Revised documents should be uploaded in the same manner as the initial submission. All correspondence, including the editor’s requests for revisions and the final decision, will be recorded in your account.

Peer Review Process
Razavi Heritage employs a double-blind peer review system, ensuring that the identities of both authors and reviewers remain confidential. When uploading your manuscript, the following four files are mandatory:

  1. Main Manuscript File (without author names or affiliations).
  2. Title Page (including the full title of the manuscript, the names of all authors, and their complete contact details: institutional affiliation and email).
  3. Cover Letter (download the template from the journal’s website).
  4. Authorship and Conflict of Interest Disclosure Form (upload the completed cover letter).

All files, except the title page, must be anonymized and should not contain any identifying information about the authors or their institutions. Ensure that you select the correct "File Type" category when uploading. For additional files, use the "Supplementary Files" category.

Submission Requirements

Language
Manuscripts must be written in English. Authors should maintain consistency in spelling (either British or American) throughout the text. Avoid contractions (e.g., use "cannot" instead of "can't").

Length

  • Original Articles: 4,000 to 8,000 words.
  • Other Contributions (short articles, book reviews, opinions, perspectives, and viewpoints): 2,000 to 3,000 words.

Manuscript Format and Structure

  • File Format: Submissions must be in MS Word (.doc or .docx).
  • Page Setup: A4 size, with the entire text typed in Times New Roman (font size: 12 for the main text and 10 for endnotes and references).
  • Abstract and Keywords: Include an abstract of 150–250 words and 3–5 keywords.
  • Titles and Subtitles: Use numerical headings (e.g., 1, 2, 3) rather than Roman numerals.
  • Block Quotes: Quotes longer than three lines should be indented, with a blank line above and below. Preserve the original spelling and punctuation, using square brackets[ ] for any alterations.
  • Italics: Use italics sparingly and avoid bold text.
  • Endnotes: All supplementary notes should be included as endnotes, not footnotes.

Publication Process

Proofs
Upon acceptance, a PDF proof of the article will be sent to the corresponding author for final review. Authors are responsible for carefully checking the proofs for factual and typographical errors. Use the Comment & Markup toolbar to note corrections directly on the PDF. Only minor changes are permitted at this stage. Substantial alterations to the original manuscript will result in delays. Proofs must be returned within 4 working days of receipt.
